The mission of Hawthorne School is to provide an education that will enable students to achieve academic, interpersonal, and civic success.

Reading logs will be coming home in your child's backpack this week. This is a free program that allows a student to earn a ticket to Six Flags Great America just by reading six hours of fun! NEW THIS YEAR-  you will register your child online with the school code (info in backpack) and log all the hours directly on the website!  Hours need to be logged on the site by February 1st. Then, when the tickets are released in early May, you can print your own Six Flags tickets! For anyone who has limited access to the internet, feel free to write the hours on the log and turn them into your teacher and the hours will be logged for you.  Email Kathleen Grossardt with any questions.

Family Club will be starting in February facilitated by Kim Nissen, Hawthorne School Social Worker.  This club has an educational and support group designed to help young people better understand their feelings related to family dynamics which may include ongoing or recent significant changes in their lives. If you feel the content of this club would be beneficial for your child, please have your student stop in the office and pick up a permission slip.  Please return along with the $10.00 club fee to the office ASAP.
