Meet Mrs. Sorrentino

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Illinois State University, earned a Master's degree from St. Xavier University, and have endorsements in math, language arts, gifted education. I continue to take courses to help me grow in the profession I have loved since day one. During my 30+ years of teaching, I have explored junior high math, math remediation, technology coaching, and gifted education. I have been a REACH teacher at Hawthorne School since 2004 and I STILL LOVE IT! My husband and I have three young adult children (twins who are teachers and one who is a school social worker) and a 14.5 -year-old Corgi/mutt, Pepper. I'm retiring from full time teaching at the end of this school year and I'm very excited for all of the learning the students and I will share this year before my next chapter. Being a teacher in the community where I live is an exciting privilege for me. Thank you for letting me help stretch your child's learning experience.
