Fundraising

Our annual Charleston Wrap Fundraiser runs October 7-22, 2021. Students will be able to sell over 2,500 quality products including UltraHeavy™ gift wrap, gift wrapping accessories, personalizable gifts, exclusive kitchen and home items, tasty gourmet goodies, and much more!

In early October, each child will receive a mini brochure and a flyer with detailed instructions for registering online and helping support our goals (this flyer will also be emailed to parents the week of October 4). If you have any questions, please contact Marisa Walz (marisawalz@gmail.com).

Charleston Wrap Fundraiser Highlights and Details:

• Hawthorne will earn 30%-40% for each sale, which will be used toward PTA-sponsored activities and purchases.
• The official Charleston Wrap Fundraiser runs from October 7-22.
• The fundraiser is 100% online this year. Track your progress online and remember to use code 11190 to benefit Hawthorne!
• All items will ship directly to customers – no more distributing orders! Orders greater than $85 receive free shipping.
• Prizes will be distributed to students at school.

What is the Hawthorne Happening?

Hawthorne Happening is a carnival style event for students and their families to enjoy. 
The Spooky Skele-bration will have games, crafts, a DJ, a limbo contest, a selfie booth, special magic shows, a gaming truck, and food for purchase.

Hawthorne Happening is Hawthorne PTA's biggest fundraiser.  The Hawthorne Happening generates funds to support assemblies, programs, school improvements and fun extras that the PTA sponsors for our children and teachers.

Tickets will go on sales in early October.

What will you find at Hawthorne Happening?

• GAMES: Play games in the first-floor classrooms and the playground blacktop and win prizes.

• DJ: Plan on dancing the night away.

• HULA HOOP and LIMBO CONTESTS:  Show off your hula hoop and limbo skills.

• CRAFT ROOM & MANICURE STATION: Crafts for all ages, plus manicures and temporary tattoos.

• RAFFLES: Great raffle prizes that range from fun events with teachers to game night packages and more.

• AUCTION BASKETS: Spectacular items donated by Hawthorne families and local families.

• BUY-IN PARTIES: Sign up for these fun, creative parties hosted by Hawthorne families. Purchase a ticket to attend and all money raised goes directly to the Hawthorne PTA.

• FOOD: Come hungry to find, allergy free concessions including pizza from Two Brothers, snacks, drinks and more.

• GAMING TRUCK

Who needs to purchase tickets?

GAME PARTICIPANTS: Only game participants need to purchase a $15 wristband ($20 at the door). Wristbands give access to unlimited classroom games, interactive inflatables, craft-room, selfie photo station, balloon twister, and ONE turn on the Candy Wheel.

Box Tops for Education has contributed over $340 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.  The Box Tops for Education Program earns cash for our school.  Each Box Top for Education that you clip is worth 10 cents.  Occasionally there are bonus promotions where we can earn more.  The money earned can be used to purchase anything.  Computers, books, or playground equipment are just some of the ways schools have chosen to use the funds raised through Box Tops for Education.
