Science & Hobby Night at Hawthorne, February 23rd, 7 - 8 pm
Get Inspired! Be Amazed! Don’t miss Science & Hobby Night! This annual, one-night-only event provides a unique opportunity for Hawthorne students (grades K-5) to proudly exhibit a science project, hobby, craft, collection, or talent.
Hawthorne Bowling Party is Friday, March 3rd, 9:30 am - Noon
Join the fun at the annual Bowling Party! The Hawthorne PTA sponsors the Bowling Party for ALL Hawthorne students. Siblings are welcome for a fee of $9 each sibling. Details below:
Location: Stardust Bowl in Addison
9:30 am Registration
10:00 am - 12:00 pm Bowling
Two bowling games and shoe rental will be included. Please register your student(s) and pay for any additional siblings online in advance to secure a lane assignment. The bowling alley has a vending area/kitchen with food and beverages for purchase. ALL STUDENTS AND SIBLINGS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT. NO EXCEPTIONS. ONLY ONE STUDENT PER REGISTRATION!
A separate registration is needed for EACH student attending the event so we have an accurate head count. By registering each student online, the registration form will serve as the parent's permission for a student to participate. To register for the Bowling Party, please complete the following steps on the PTA Webstore: 1) Select Grade/Teacher from the drop down menu 2) Enter each student's name in the following format: last name, first name in the text box below. 3) Purchase each sibling ticket through separate link. (include Grade/Teacher of oldest Hawthorne student attending and AGE of sibling after Name in the drop down box.) Volunteers are needed! Family Night - The ProKids Show!
The ProKids Show, a show filled with inspiring music, magic, and hilarious comedy had everyone laughing. A huge thank you to Jessica Buenz and Michele Chavez for putting the evening together!!!
How PTA Money Raised is Spent
The REACH PTA
Was you child just identified for REACH services? Not sure what this means or how to support your child? The REACH PTA is a parent group dedicated to supporting gifted and talented programs in District 205 and encouraging higher level educational opportunities for ALL District 205 students. Our area of focus includes:
- Providing parent resources for gifted and advanced learners
- Organizing advocacy at local and national levels
- Sponsoring and/or promoting academic-based extra-curricular activities that are accessible to all students
- Collaborating with REACH teachers to provide additional resources and student opportunities.

Hawthorne PTA MIssion
The mission of the Hawthorne PTA is to volunteer in the interest of the children, to encourage understanding and cooperation between parents and teachers, and to promote programs that benefit the success of children’s learning. The Hawthorne PTA supports education through active participation and advocacy.
