Hawthorne Happening After Dark

New Event! Live Music! After all the kid-friendly festivities at the Hawthorne Happening, it will be time for a little adults-only fun! Join us for the first Hawthorne Happening After Dark on Thursday, October 25th at Fitz's Spare Keys. The band Blue Aura will be performing. Light apps and one drink ticket are included (other drinks may be purchased). $25 per ticket; all proceeds benefit the Hawthorne PTA. Tickets can be purchased through the Hawthorne PTA Webstore. Invite your friends and neighbors... they need not be Hawthorne parents!

Our annual Charleston Wrap Fundraiser starts October 4th and ends October 18th. Students will be able to sell a variety of products, including 40+ wrapping paper designs, holiday photo cards, ribbons, bags, tissue, and some kitchen and home items.

Charleston Wrap Fundraiser Highlights and Details:

  • Hawthorne will earn 30% - 50% for each sale, which will be used toward PTA-sponsored activities and purchases.
  • The official Charleston Wrap Fundraiser runs from October 4th - October 18th.
  • Purchases can be made online at any time during the school year to benefit Hawthorne, but items purchased outside the main sale must be shipped to the home. Remember to use code z-11190 to benefit Hawthorne!
  • Items purchased during the official sale can be shipped to your home or delivered to Hawthorne for pickup at the Book Fair on November 29th and 30th. (Orders greater than $75 receive free shipping the home.)

Hawthorne Happening

Mark your calendar, get your costumes ready, and plan a family night out to support your school! Hawthorne Happening – A Nightmare on Arthur Street – is on Saturday, October 20th from 4 - 7 pm at Hawthorne! Carnival-style games, music from DJ Mike, a mystical magic show, balloon twisters, video gaming truck, raffles and auction items, allergy-free concessions, and so much more!

Morning Drop-Off Procedures

We have nearly 500 children arriving between 8:00 and 8:12 am every morning. The following procedures have been updated to address the traffic and safety issues the communities of Hawthorne, Immaculate Conception and Elmhurst are experiencing. These procedures should be taken seriously, as your child’s safety is our absolute first priority.

The Hawthorne AM Drop-Off Procedures and Map can be found herePlease take the time to read the procedures and communicate these procedures to ALL family members and childcare providers that drop.
